Information for parents and schools about the Outreach Research and Development processes

Nine groups of schools around the country are working to accelerate student achievement using the affordances of digital learning environments.

We engage education researchers from the Woolf Fisher Research Centre at the University of Auckland. They will be working with these schools and groups over the next 3 years to improve teaching and learning. Ongoing feedback to teachers and leaders is designed to help us meet our achievement challenges.

The research involves gathering data and observations to evaluate whether the programme is successful in improving outcomes in reading , writing, maths and other areas identified as of value by the schools.  We can then use this to get a wider body of knowledge with deeper and wider certainty about what is really working across the NZ context.

The research has been approved by the University of Auckland's Human Participant  ethics committee.
